Hey everyone.

So its a new dawn, its a new day, its a new life for me... and im feeling... well not too shabby really. Cant say its exactly been a fantastic few months, what with uni being over, having to buy a load of stuff to actually furnish my room, and having to scrimp and save because im going skiing in meribel in the three valleys (Its on the french/italian border) in january with my dad. So thats going to come to... about a grand in total. But we'll see how that goes.

Next comes Eirtakon. Got my... well they said there'd be tickets... but all i got was an invoice and a PAPER wristband. Now im not that fussy, but when i go to an event i expect something funky. Expo is understandable because of the sheer number of people, but smaller events like this, especialy when you register for them in advance, i'd quite like something shinier than just a cheap paper wristband like you'd get at a concert. *sigh* The t-shirt had better be good.
Anyhoo, im doing Luke fon Fabre for it. Finished the jacket bar a couple of chunky buttons i need for it and pockets sewn to the trousers. I dont think i can be arsed with a sword but we shall see. Thats really the only cosplay i was planning to take, i would make the effort to make the armour for a S.T.A.R.S Leon cosplay IF i could find a suitable boiler suit or matching jacket/trousers... but no luck yet, so meh, we'll see. Just went ot buy my ticket, yesterday they they were £70, now they're frikkin £110!!!! Grrrr, thats what i get for waiting i guess.

Random insert. Im just downloading the free 10 day trial of World of Warcraft. My experience of it extends about as far as 'the internet is for porn' amv and 'the device has been modified' music vid on youtube, im aware that apparently choosing blood/dark elf class is bad? im not entirely sure, but im pretty sure i heard it somewhere. South park episode that ive seen, the deaths of some people from non-stop playing for a few days, theres the handful of friends i know who play it. Finally topping it off with its apparent addictiveness. We'll see how this goes.

Ball at the end of the month. Have i finished my cosplay? No. Have i started it? Barely. Am I at all worried/concerned/ill-at-ease about this little fact? Hell Yeah I Am!! Hotel is booked, tickets are booked, Kates gonna look gorgeous, and all thats left is for me to not screw this up... hopefully...

Recently been looking into two things. Firstly the Star Wars group thing of Mikes (Shenny to some people). I've wanted to do a star wars cosplay for a while, mostly one of those 'meh that looks like fun' things while watching the movies, and the clone trooper inspired battle armour in clone wars made it look even more curious. Ages ago i picked up a couple of old sofa covers, one of which i've mostly finished converting into a jedi cloak, the other should form the basis for the under-uniform. Now, combine that with my passionate little obsession with Ewan McGregor, and you have a cosplay idea. Thus im going to be not only GINGER, but ginger with a BEARD!!! xDDD This should be hilarious.

The second thing i've been looking into involves my recent completion of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2. Now i played the demo of it aaaaaaaaaages ago, and picked up Soul Reaver 2 when i got my first PS2 a few months ago, and i've loved them both undeniably. Enter mike with a passing 'oh i'd love to cosplay Raziel sometime' and a conversation gets on the way.
Fast forward and it looks like we have a Kain, a potential Ariel, a vampire Raziel, and a Soul Reaver Raziel (Me).
Any of you out there who know about Raziel after being rather deep-pan crisp and even-ed in the first game, will know he came back looking a little...well... lets just say a bit malnourished. This cosplay will possibly be the first cosplay, nay, the first ever time in the history of me where i will attempt to look SKINNIER than i am. Crazy talk, it really is. But im bloody looking forward to it!!!

Finally, my birthday is over Kitacon weekend (Its the Saturday to be exact) and if anyone does anything at all for me for my birthday, i would ask that you cozplay zelda characters, even if its just wearing a green hood and a belt over your shoulder, because that would utterly make my day perfect!!!
